Myofascial Protocol

Terms of Use

Draft. Legal review required before launch.

These terms are the agreement between you and Myofascial Protocol ("we", "us") when you use our website, our app, or anything you buy from us. Please read them. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the service.

1. What Myofascial Protocol is

Myofascial Protocol offers self-care programs for everyday muscle tension, such as a tight jaw. Each program is a set of guided practices you do at home with your own hands, plus simple measures you take yourself.

It is an educational wellness program. It is not medical care.

2. Not medical advice

Nothing in Myofascial Protocol is medical, dental or other professional advice. We do not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or condition, including TMJ disorder, bruxism or migraine. Using Myofascial Protocol does not create a clinician and patient relationship between you and us, or between you and the practitioner who wrote the program.

Do not use Myofascial Protocol in place of care from your own doctor or dentist. Never delay seeking care, or ignore advice you have been given, because of something you read here. We never advise on medicine. Ask your doctor about any medicine you take.

If you think you may have a medical emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number.

3. The safety question

Before you buy a program, we ask a short safety question. It asks about signs that mean you should see a clinician first, and about things, such as taking a blood thinner or being pregnant, where you should ask your doctor before any pressure work.

You agree to answer it truthfully. If your answers mean you should see a clinician first, we will not sell you the program. If your answers mean you should ask your doctor first, you may go on only after your doctor has said yes.

The safety question is a basic check. It is not a medical assessment, and it cannot know everything about your health. Read the red flags page in the app, and stop and seek care if anything on it applies to you at any time.

4. Your health and your choices

You choose whether and how to do each practice. You agree to follow the safety guidance in the program, including:

  • never working through pain;
  • stopping at once if you feel sharp, electric or spreading pain, numbness, tingling, weakness or dizziness;
  • never pressing on the front of your throat, anywhere you can feel a pulse, or the spine;
  • never holding pressure on the sides of your neck; and
  • never forcefully turning, pulling or cracking your neck.

5. Assumption of risk

Any physical practice carries some risk, including soreness, bruising, or making an existing problem worse. You understand this and accept these risks when you choose to do the practices. To the fullest extent the law allows, you agree that you take part at your own risk.

6. Who may use Myofascial Protocol

You must be at least 18 years old to buy from us or create an account.

7. Your account

Myofascial Protocol has no passwords. You sign in with a link or a six-digit code that we send to your email address. That means anyone who can open your email can sign in to your account.

You are responsible for keeping your email account secure, and for what happens in your Myofascial Protocol account. Please don't share your sign-in links or codes. If you think someone else has used your account, tell us at support@myofascialprotocol.com.

Your account is for you alone. Please don't share it or resell access to it.

8. Buying from us

Prices. The price you pay is the price shown at checkout when you buy. We may change our prices at any time. A change never affects a purchase you have already made. Any taxes due are added where the law requires.

Payments. Payments are handled by Stripe and PayPal. We do not see or store your full card number. By paying, you also agree to the terms of the payment provider you use.

One-time purchases. Programs, add-ons and upgrades are one-time purchases unless the page clearly says otherwise. After you buy, we may offer you something else on the next page. If you accept it, it is a separate payment, charged to the same card or PayPal account, and it does not change your first order.

Access. One-time purchases come with access for the life of the service. "For life" means for as long as Myofascial Protocol runs the service. If we ever close it, we will give you reasonable notice first.

9. The membership

The Keep is an optional membership, paid monthly or yearly.

  • It renews on its own. When you join, you agree that we will charge the price shown when you joined, at the start of each new month or year, to the card or PayPal account you used, until you cancel.
  • The price you joined at. Your renewal price is the price you joined at. If we ever need to change it, we will tell you by email before the change and give you the chance to cancel first.
  • Yearly reminder. Before a yearly plan renews, we email you to remind you of the date and the amount.
  • Cancel online, any time. You can cancel online from your account page in two taps. You do not need to call or write to us. You can also ask us to cancel by writing to support@myofascialprotocol.com.
  • When cancelling takes effect. When you cancel, you will not be charged again. You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
  • No partial refunds. We do not refund part of a month or year you have already started, unless the law requires it. See the Refund Policy.

10. Refunds

Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy, which is part of these terms.

11. Using the content

Everything in Myofascial Protocol, including the text, drawings, audio, video and software, belongs to us or to the people who license it to us. We give you a personal, non-transferable right to use it for your own self-care. Please don't copy, share, sell, teach from or publish it, or use it to build another product.

12. Messages, chat and your notes

The chat in the app, and our email support, may use an AI assistant to help write replies. Its answers are general information, not medical advice. It may make mistakes. If an answer seems wrong for you, don't follow it, and ask a clinician.

Please don't send anything abusive, unlawful, or that belongs to someone else. What you write in your notes and worksheets stays yours. You let us store it and show it back to you so the service works.

13. Changes to the service

We may change, add to or remove parts of the service over time, for example to fix problems or improve sessions. We will not take away the core of a program you have paid for.

14. Ending your use

You can stop using Myofascial Protocol at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, after telling you why where we can.

15. Disclaimers

We provide Myofascial Protocol "as is" and "as available". We do not promise any particular result. Your numbers may change, or they may not. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties that are not set out in these terms.

16. Limits on our liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.

17. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect.

18. Governing law
