Privacy Policy
Draft. Legal review required before launch.
This policy explains what Myofascial Protocol ("we", "us") collects about you, why, who else sees it, and how to have it deleted. The short version: we collect what we need to run your program, we never sell your data, and your practice notes and measures never go to advertisers.
What we collect
What you tell us when you buy or sign in. Your email address and, if you give it, your first name.
Your answers to the safety question. We keep them so we can show that we asked, and so we don't sell a program to someone it isn't right for.
Payment details. Payments are handled by Stripe and PayPal. They collect your card or PayPal details. We never see or store your full card number. We receive what we need to run your order, such as what you bought, the amount, and whether the payment went through.
Your practice. The sessions you do, your before and after scores, your measures (such as your jaw opening in finger widths, your morning tension, and your headache days), and anything you write in the worksheets.
Your messages. What you write to us in the chat and by email, and our replies.
Technical details. Like most websites, we receive basic details from your browser, such as your device type, the pages you visit, and rough location from your internet address. We use small files called cookies to keep you signed in and to help the site work.
Why we use it
- To give you what you bought, and let you sign in.
- To show you your own progress: your charts, your report, and the sessions built for you.
- To answer your questions and fix problems.
- To send you emails about your program and your purchases. Some emails are about offers. You can stop those at any time with the link at the bottom of each one.
- To keep the service safe and working, and to understand which pages help people.
- To meet our legal duties, such as keeping records of sales for tax.
The Meta pixel, and what it sees
The pages that sell our programs use a tool from Meta (the company behind Facebook and Instagram), called a pixel. It tells Meta which of our ads led people to our pages and to a purchase, so we can see which ads work.
The pixel is on the selling pages only. It is never in the member area. It never sees your practice, your measures, your notes or your messages.
When you buy, our server also tells Meta that a purchase happened. It sends the amount, a scrambled, one-way coded copy of your email address, and basic browser details such as your internet address and Meta's own ad cookies. Meta uses these to match the purchase to an ad you may have seen.
Under some state laws, this kind of advertising tool may count as "sharing" or "targeted advertising". You can ask us to stop by writing to support@myofascialprotocol.com. You can also control ad settings in your Meta account.
Who else handles your data
We use a few service providers to run Myofascial Protocol: hosting for the site, a database, email delivery, payments (Stripe and PayPal), and an AI service that helps write replies in the chat and email support. When you use the chat, your messages, and what the chat needs to answer you, are sent to that AI service to write the reply.
These providers handle your data only to provide their service to us. We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect someone's safety.
What we never do
- We never sell your personal information.
- We never share your practice, measures, notes or messages with advertisers.
- We never use your words or your story in our marketing without asking you first.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and your practice records for as long as you have an account, so your numbers are there when you come back. We keep sales records for as long as tax law requires. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete the rest.
Your choices and rights
- Stop marketing emails. Use the link at the bottom of any offer email. Emails about your account and purchases still come.
- See or correct your data. Write to support@myofascialprotocol.com.
- Delete your account. Write to support@myofascialprotocol.com, or ask in the chat. We will confirm it's you, then delete your account and practice records within 30 days. We keep only what the law requires us to keep, such as sales records.
Depending on where you live, you may have more rights. Write to us and we will help.
Children
Myofascial Protocol is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Keeping it safe
We use reasonable measures to protect your information, such as encrypted connections. No system is perfectly safe. If something goes wrong that affects you, we will tell you as the law requires.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect.
